Hey, did anyone hear Democracy Now! this morning? The final segment was on growing food prices that apparently have sparked riots and protests around the world in recent days... the cost of staple foods, grains and rices and such have gone up 50 to 300% in certain areas- they referenced riots/protests in Burkina Faso and Haiti specifically. They mentioned the severe weather in Australia and massive crop devastation last year.
