Sustainabillity Thresholds
One important topic is figuring out what "sustainable" levels of fishing, logging, grazing, and agriculture are at the global level in ways that map into footprint calculations. For example, a research paper published last year suggested that a global catch of roughly 55 million metric tons could be considered an ecological sustained yield threshold for fisheries for purposes of footprint analysis. Are there similar estimates for logging, grazing, or agriculture?

Good point! Human being as one kind of creature seems impossible to live without food; most of us even cannot live with meat. In this case, to what extend we can fish, log, and graze is important. Sustainability is the word for all of us. We need to leave an Earth with birds flying and flower blossoming to our children. Here are some ideas. In order to make our world better, use your basket instead of plastic bags; purchase food with no bags, which means buy food from local; use water saving toilet and walk or use bike to go to work, etc.
